Tommy Guerrero

Biography

Tommy Guerrero is a professional skateboarder and musician. Born in San Francisco, Guerrero joined the skate company Powell Peralta in 1984 and became one of the original members of the legendary “Bones Brigade” team. He was well known for his relaxed style of street skateboarding and the Bones Brigade videos Future Primitive, The Search For Animal Chin, Public Domain, and Ban This all featured the street skateboarding of Guerrero. After riding for Powell Peralta, Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud, a hometown friend and Powell Peralta teammate, started the skateboarding company “Real”. Guerrero has been playing music since the late 70’s, raised on a steady diet of DIY punk music/ethos and skateboarding-which informed and shaped the person he is today. Tommy Guerrero was interviewed in San Francisco, CA on May 24, 2005.
